Registration is open-23 consignors have already beat you to the punch. It is never too early to start tagging! If you are a NEW consignor, WELCOME! If you have any questions, please feel free to email Kelly@cradles2crayons.net. Remember: If you are a returning consignor, be sure to transfer your items from the previous sale. The countdown has begun: Only 14 weeks before our next event (It will be here before you know it!)

That is the magic date that the volunteer spots will be released at noon! Don’t forget that it is first come, first serve and they go FAST!

Referral Program has become EASIER
Last fall we launched a program for referrals. We strongly encourage you to take advantage of it. For every THREE people you recruit to be a new, active consignor and that list YOU as the referral source, you will receive $25 Cradles Cash to spend at the September event! (They MUST list you at the time of sign up!) If you refer a new business to be a platinum sponsor, you will receive $25 Cradles Cash to spend at the September event. Good Luck!

More Space = More Vendors
With our new space, it will allow for more vendors to become a part of our sale. However, it is based on a first come, first serve basis too. Please see our website for details if you are interested in becoming a vendor to over 3000 shoppers! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Cristi@cradles2crayons.net.

Registration is OPEN with some changes

Registration has opened for our September 23-25, 2010 event!

There are a few things you will notice have changed since our March event. Our website is currently being updated with the correct information.
However, these changes are detailed below:

CHANGE OF VENUE:
As anyone who has shopped, consigned, or volunteered knows, we had out grown our space. Raintree was an absolute delight to work with and we cannot thank them enough for the hospitality that they showed us and all involved. Highland Baptist on 34th and Quaker is the new Cradles 2 Crayons location starting with our next event! We are excited about the growth!!

CONSIGNOR FEE:
For the past 8 sales, the consignor fee has been $7, below average for consignment sales in similar markets. We implemented several improvements without an increase to the consignors: bar code system that allows you to enter inventory online, an electronic sign up process, a 4th and 5th pay station to help expedite sales, a change of venue to allow easier shopping and increase sales, increased advertising/ a marketing team, and credit card capabilities that enables shoppers to have a wide variety of payment options. These improvements allow more of the consignors items to be sold which increases your profits; however, all of these things cost money to implement. We are forced to increase the fee to $10.

DROP-OFF TIMES:
Due to the change in venue, we are able to set up earlier and prepare the set-up for drop-off sooner. Drop-off times have been changed. Wednesday, September 22nd, 7pm-10:30pm and Thursday, September 23rd, 11am-1pm are the new times. All time changes have been reflected on the website as well as the seller agreement.

2 months to go before our March 2010 event!

2 Months To Go!!!

The Cradles 2 Crayons Staff would like to wish each of you a very Happy New Year. From our families to yours, we hope that you have a wonderful and healthy 2010!

It is now time to get busy and start preparing for the next event: March 4-6, 2010!

While we are looking for a bigger location, the event will be at Raintree again this year. We can’t thank the staff and congregation at Raintree enough for all they do to help us have a successful sale.

Consignors:
Things to do:

*Make sure all items are barcoded tags; NOT hand-written

If you have pictures of some of your bigger items that you are selling, send them to Allison@cradles2crayons.net. These will be used in some of our marketing ways to help draw shoppers. The more shoppers we have, the more money you make!

Volunteers:
Volunteer time slots will open January 30th at noon! PLEASE PLEASE be ready to sign-up early as all of our spots fill quickly, usually within 24 hours. It is important to pick those times early and be prepared. All times are located on www.Cradles2crayons.net

Shoppers:
Get those running shoes and laundry baskets ready. Each and every sale gets bigger and bigger. Be sure to spread the word of our sale. We will again have a Midnight Madness Sale which will benefit the South Plains Food Bank. Please bring one can good item per person! Last year we raised over 300 pounds of food just in our Midnight Madness Sale! WAY TO GO! Yall are awesome!

VENDOR SPACE:
We always strive to bring you great vendors! Space is limited again this year. Should you or someone you know be interested in being a vendor (selling items as a business), please contact Cristi@cradles2crayons.net as soon as possible.

In September 2009, we introduced several new things that worked great:
1) A 5th pay station to the Midnight Madness Sale
2) Food drive to benefit South Plains Food Bank
3) A marketing team to help recruit more shoppers
4) Referral Program to help you earn $25 shopping pass

These things were added with a great advantage to everyone!!

C2C makes a monetary donation each sale based on total sales, donates clothes to a local charity and does not send any profits off to a franchise in other cities or states. All things are kept safe here in Lubbock and in Lubbock businesses! Can’t beat that!

One Week to Go!

One Week To Go!
It is unreal how fast timeflies as we get closer to the sale! This may be our biggest sale yet…almost 150 consignors! Almost 10,000 items at this point! Things will continue to grow this weekend.
CONSIGNORS:
Please be sure to let us know should you decide to not consign this event! We are trying to keep cost down-this is one huge way to help! Also, don’t forget to have your items separated by gender and size! This is very important! You have until September 8th at 11:59pm to enter items into the system. NO hand-written tags accepted. E-mail Kelly@cradles2crayons.net should you have any questions.
VOLUNTEERS:
MORE SLOTS ARE BEING RELEASED! Spots will be released at noon on Saturday! They will go quickly so don’t wait around! There are only 10 more being released. VENDOR SPACE:
We are full on vendor space. We have some great returning vendors and even some new ones that we think you will enjoy! Be sure to stop by and check them out!

3 weeks to go!!
Only 3 weeks to go before our next event! Are you ready?
Please be sure to read this message as it contains a lot of important information!


CONSIGNORS:
· Less than 3 weeks left to tag! If you have tagging questions or questions about being a consignor, please feel free to contact kelly@cradles2crayons.net.
· If you are unable to participate in the September event but have already signed up, please let Kelly know so that we can remove you-we pay for each consignor that registers.
· Make sure that your bar code lines are clean, precise and not bleeding together.
· During check-in, you will be given a pass for you and a “friend” to shop during the Consignor and Friend sale. Don’t leave Check-In without it!
· Check-In is going to be monitored for quality of clothes, instructions followed, and sorting completed. Please make sure that all questions are answered prior to Check-in!
· Few tagging guns available-$12 each-email Info@cradles2crayons.net and tell us the area you live in as it will help us direct you to the person who will reply to your e-mail-thank you!

VOLUNTEERS:
· Please be sure to show up on time, check in, and stay for your entire shift!
· Do not bring your child/children to your shift.
· Wear proper clothing
· Should you not be able to make your shift, please contact Allison at least 24 hours BEFORE Wednesday, September 9th at 8:30pm. This will help us fill any vacancies.

3 HUGE ANNOUNCEMENTS!

· Who’s Got Talent?
C2C is look for a “Marketing Team”. We will compose a small group who will meet for one hour, two times before our next event. This volunteer option will earn you 10% more back on your sales. If you are interested in being a part of this team, please e-mail Info@cradles2crayons.net the aspects of marketing you can offer to C2C. A marketing specialist is going to help us select this team. All submissions are due by July 20th.

· Launching a BRAND NEW Referral Program
For every 5 active consignors that you recruit (and names you), you will receive $25 Cradles Cash.
For every 1 sponsor that you recruit (and names you), you will receive $25 Cradles Cash.
